Sundays In The Sanctuary
Discover the hidden wonders of Canberra’s woodland with Sundays In The Sanctuary, a relaxed guided experience through the breathtaking Goorooyaroo Nature Reserve / Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary.
This unique experience blends gentle walking with short shuttle journeys, making it accessible and flexible for a wide range of visitors, including those with limited mobility. As you move through the landscape, you’ll explore the peaceful Dungarvon Valley, discovering ancient Yellow Box and Blakely's Red Gum woodlands, spotting native wildlife, and visiting the historic Inglewood Ruins. Along the way, learn about the stories, conservation work, and rich history that continue to shape this remarkable place.
More than a tour, Sundays In The Sanctuary is an opportunity to experience the landscapes that define Canberra as The Bush Capital. Connected through a network of reserves, grasslands, wetlands and woodlands, these environments allow wildlife and people to coexist, offering a rare chance to slow down, connect, and experience nature just moments from the city.

Nature Therapy
Latitude 55 Outdoors
Nature and forest therapy is a guided, intentional practice that invites you to slow down, engage your senses, and build a deeper connection with yourself and the natural world. It can help regulate the nervous system, improve mood, and supports overall wellbeing.
In these gentle sessions you will be led through a series of techniques such as mindful breathing, sensory awareness, intention setting and silent observation that encourage relaxation, presence and reflection.
These walks are led by our nature and forest therapy guide, Sarah Murray Boyd, from Latitude 55 Outdoors. Sarah is passionate about the power of time spent in nature to connect, heal, teach and guide us, and she loves to share this with others.
